The High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment is a non-invasive skin tightening cosmetic procedure which is safe and effective for facial lifting and refining wrinkles. The treatment is offered on face, upper chest and neckline and its benefits include:

 

• wrinkle reduction;

• tightening sagging skin on the neck (also called “turkey neck”);

• lifting the cheeks, eyebrows, and eyelids;

• enhancing jawline definition;

• tightening of the neckline;

The HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of the skin just below the surface to stimulate the cells to produce more collagen (a protein that provides structure to the skin). The increase of collagen results in tighter, firmer skin with reduced wrinkles. 

 

The results are visible between 3 and 6 months after the treatment.

 

• The procedure is suitable for people over 30 years of age with mild to moderate skin laxity;

• People with photodamaged skin or a high degree of loose skin may need several treatments before seeing results;

• The treatment is not effective for people with more extensive photo-ageing, severe skin laxity, or very saggy skin on the neck.
